Two things decide whether an adhesive clip holds all season: a clean surface and a warm one. Wipe the glass down first and avoid applying below about 50°F, and these hold reliably through winter weather. Applied to a dusty or freezing window, any adhesive clip will let go — so plan window work for the warmer part of the install day.
